Miraculous Ladybug Season 4 Episode 3 Gang of Secrets

The episode opens in the school cafeteria where Marinette reflects on her developing relationship with Adrien with her friends. It starts with a flashback from “The Bubbler” when Marinette gives her present to Adrien for his birthday, then from “Gigantitan” when she refuses to go home with Adrien, followed by “The Puppeteer 2” where she drives home with Adrien and they agree that they won’t be kidding when he reveals that even the girl he’s in love with won’t appreciate them.

Marinette decides that Adrien needs to see her in a new light for them to get together, but Alya tells her that her eccentricity is what makes her attractive. Meanwhile, Nino and Adrien watch Harry the Clown’s comedy skits on the bench. Adrien looks up to see Marinette gesturing which makes him laugh. Nino thinks Adrien was laughing at the comedy sketch and decides to show him more, and Marinette has an idea to get Adrien to like him.

As Adrien leaves in the car, Marinette questions Nino, who explains that they were watching Harry the Clown sketches. He remembers visiting the bakery every day at the time and runs home to find Harry buying a bagel. She tells him that she would like her and Adrien to attend his last show in Paris. Realizing that he’s “a bit crazy” about Adrien, Harry agrees to talk to Gabriel, who is revealed to have designed the chick costume for Harry’s first act.

At Agreste, Gabriel questions Harry, who explains that he would like to offer Adrien a role in his film. Gabriel becomes increasingly skeptical as Harry describes the emotional depth of the film, using his trick from time to time to create comedy out of Hawk Moth. Gabriel finally agrees on the condition that Harry erase all traces of the Franciscan costume. Harry exits the mansion excitedly, and Gabriel notes to himself that no one will take Harry seriously. Back at Marinette’s, Harry and Marinette are bouncing around the kitchen celebrating Gabriel’s acceptance. Marinette plans her behavior but realizes she doesn’t know any good jokes. Harry decides to help her.

Later that day, Adrien arrives at the Grand Palais and Marinette, dressed as a sheriff, tries to amuse Adrien, who doesn’t get the jokes and reacts naively to her attempts. Harry imitates Marinette’s instructions, but gets a call from Bob Roth, who tells him to come to the locker room immediately. When Marinette sees that Harry is gone, she panics and tries to continue the comedy sketch. Adrien shows concern for her as he continues. After splashing Adrien with water, she runs away crying. Adrien tries to follow her but is held back by his bodyguard.

In the dressing room, Harry excitedly shows his drawings to Bob and explains the key concepts of his film. Bob thinks it’s funny, and Harry tries to talk him out of it, explaining that it’s actually a serious superhero movie that he made to make people feel emotions other than laughter. He explains that when he was a kid, he always wanted to be a superhero. Bob Roth mocks him and mercilessly tears up the drawings, informing Harry that the show is about to begin.

Shadow Moth senses Harry’s sadness and sends out an Akuma. Harry leaves the locker room and sees Marinette crying in the corner. He says it was a total disaster and that Adrien didn’t even laugh once. There is a standing ovation from the audience and Harry listlessly heads for the stage. Akuma flies into his belt pouch. Harry happily takes advantage of the opportunity Shadow Moth offers him, and when the curtains open, he is already transformed into a Psycomic. Adrien escapes as the audience laughs and the Psycomedian uses his power to make the audience go berserk and fight amongst themselves. Adrien transforms into Cat Noir. Meanwhile, Bob is on the phone. The psychiatrist arrives and Bob runs out of the building. Marinette hides behind the wardrobe and turns into Ladybug.

Psychocomedian follows Bob and is watched by an enraged crowd of onlookers. He uses his power again, making them laugh first and then cry. Ladybug and Cat Noir confront him. He tries to use his power on them, but they cover their eyes. He honks at some people who are furiously chasing Ladybug and Cat Noir. The heroes seek shelter and Ladybug uses her lucky charm. She is given a makeup case to use to draw fake eyes on her lids.

She comes out of hiding and the psycho comedian notices her. She pretends to cry as he honks at her and, led by Cat Noir, grabs his red nose as he approaches. Breaking the nose doesn’t work and Psycomedian uses the momentum to use his power on Ladybug. He pulls another nose out of the bag and puts it on. As soon as he blows his horn, Ladybug attacks him aggressively, with Cat Noir pointing out that it’s not a good idea to make her angry. He protects a civilian from incoming objects thrown violently by Ladybug and is soon attacked by her. Psycomedian tries to manipulate Cat Noir into being affected by his power, but he grabs Ladybug and jumps away. Shadow Moth tells Psycomedian to follow them, but the Psycomedian decides that if they want to defeat him, they’ll have to come and find him anyway.

Cat Noir patiently tries to calm Ladybug down, but she yells at him and kicks the ad with Adrien’s picture on it. Seeing that it doesn’t work, he maneuvers his staff to tie Ladybug to her own yo-y and carry her down the sewers. Meanwhile, Psycomedian finds Bob Roth at the Grand Paris Hotel and taunts him in an attempt to get him to admit that Psycomedian is also capable of making people cry. She uses her power on him, making him first laugh hysterically and then cry uncontrollably.

Ladybug and Cat Noir transform behind the walls and Marinette continues to yell at Adrien and Tikki. He hopes to calm down once he transforms again, which turns out to be different as he had a raging Ladybug wrapped in cloth. Cat Noir ignores her snide remarks and plans their battle. He carefully unwraps Ladybug to let her use her Lucky Charm, a helmet, which he promptly breaks with his foot. Cat Noir questions her action, pointing out that for once the solution was obvious. Still screaming, Ladybug tells him to put on his “ridiculous belt”, which slightly upsets him. She swings away with him, grabbing the lady’s helmet and Cat Noir follows, apologizing to the lady and promising to return the helmet soon.

Ladybug faces the Psycomedian blindfolded as Bob Roth crawls away, still crying. After Psycomedian taunts her, for once in a way that Cat Noir finds funny, she engages him in a one-on-one duel. While Cat Noir sneaks into the hotel and uses nail polish to paint the helmet and its visor. Psycho tries to distract him, but Ladybug encourages him to continue, albeit with rude remarks. He calmly repaints the helmet and places it on the Psycomedian’s head.
