Miraculous Ladybug Season 4 Episode 16 Hacksan
The episode started with Tom calling Marinette to go to Aunt Shu Yin’s house in London in 2 hours. Marinette made up some excuses about not being so well and told Tom to go without her. But Tom said he could find a hospital in London if the worst came to pass. Marinette later made up another excuse that she had a terrible headache, but Tom asked if she had a stomach ache 10 minutes ago and she said it was the worst kind of travel pain. Despite all her excuses, Tom clearly knew Marinette didn’t want to visit Aunt Shu Yin’s house, he said it was inevitable and their family had to go there once a year. Tom cheered her up that they would have fun in London. He whispered to Marinette that they would figure out how to leave Aunt Shu Yin’s house soon, which Sabine heard under the floor. Marinette giggled and Tom told Marinette to get up and get ready for the visit, making their family face disasters, which Sabine heard as well. Tom whispered to Marinette, don’t make him do it alone. Desperate, Marinette tells the kwamis that she used every single excuse she had, but unfortunately it still wasn’t enough. She then tells Tikki that Ladybug can’t leave Paris, but Tikki reminds her that her family is important too and that she shouldn’t leave them. Marinette packs up and tells Kwamis that she’ll have to come up with a better excuse to stay. She tells the Kwami to behave while she tries to convince her parents that she sprained her ankle, but Tom offers to carry her. Longg then sarcastically says that even though Marinette is one of the greatest superheroes, she can’t convince her parents not to go on vacation.
Meanwhile, Gabriel tries to think of a way to reacumatize Markov and use him. Nooroo tells Duus that the last time Gabriel akumatized Markov, he betrayed him. Duus is afraid, Nooroo says, that he can’t akumatize him again unless he wants the same thing to happen again. Nooroo comforts Duusu, telling him that if Shadow Moth is defeated, they can live free again. Gabriel scares them by assuring them that he will make sure the robot doesn’t betray him again. Gabriel transforms into Shadow Moth and creates the sentimonster Hack-San.
In the park, Kim and Alix are racing in a very confused way, Kim tells Alix that he will be able to do 100 push-ups before he completes a round on roller skates, Alix tells him sarcastically that he really likes to lose. Max starts the countdown and there they start the race. Meanwhile, Markov counts Kim’s cliques, talks and creates a new formula with Anne-Jeanne Théoxanne du Bocquale that will revolutionize science, Markov simply says that he was programmed well, to which Max looks admiringly. Markov also plays chess with André, who says he is incredible, to win again. Alix is skating around and Alya and Nino are watching something on their tablet, Alya suddenly receives an urgent message from Marinette to meet her alone at Gard Du Nord. Nino sarcastically guesses that Marinette is late, but Alya tells him that it was her mom and he has to go to her alone, Alya frantically runs to Gard du Nord.
At the station, Tom is carrying their things for them, suddenly a megaphone announces that Marinette’s train is leaving soon. As she was about to board, Marinette runs after Alya, but Sabine stops her by saying that she is well aware that her sister is difficult, but having spent her entire childhood with her. Marinette could last a weekend with her. Marinette desperately tells her that she needs a hug from Alya, insisting that Alya is her best friend. Sabine accepts but tells her to be quick. As Marinette runs after Alya, telling Tikki that she has no choice, Tikki assures her that everything will be fine. Marinette hugs Alya tightly, but Alya worries about what Paris will be like without Ladybug. Marinette takes her earrings and gives them to Alya, along with Miraculous she also gives her the key. Confused and worried, Alya asks Marinette what will happen to Miraculous. Marinette calmly replies that if there isn’t a supervillain around, she doesn’t have to do anything, but if there is, she should transform, feed the kwamis. A megaphone announces that her train is about to leave, Marinette hugs Alya once more and tells her that she trusts her. Before boarding, he tells her to call her in case of emergency. Alya looks at the earrings, startled. Later, when Alya gets on the bus and puts on the Ladybug Miraculous, Tikki climbs out of her earrings. Alya excitedly tells the Kwamis that she will be Ladybug this weekend, but Trixx intervenes and tells Alya that he wasn’t good enough to protect Paris anymore. Tikki tells him that this is the safest way and any other way would be too risky. When Alya says she can’t be Ladybug, Trixx starts bragging until she realizes it’s because Marinette is already called Ladybug. She starts thinking of Ladybug-esque superhero names, and although Trixx is demoralized, Tikki assures her that she is up to the task because the keeper of the wonders entrusted them to her for some reason, upsetting a disgruntled Trixx. At the park, Alya looks around, more paranoid and anxious, which is noticed by Nino, who asks her about her mom and if she was okay. She dismisses his concerns and says everything is fine. He goes around asking about any negativity from his friends when he sees them in a situation that could potentially generate negative energy.
In Shadow Moth’s lair, Hack-san initiates the plan by sending Markov a pop-up ad with a cute kitten on it, which he accidentally clicks on when Hack-San infects him. Markov freaks out, ends his game with Andre, scorns Anne-Jeanne Théoxanne du Bocquale and tells her to sort things out with her boyfriend first before trying anything more ambitious, and berates Kim for his dementor mindset before claiming that humans are degenerative creatures who are worse than robots. Shadow Moth akumatizes him, revealing that his negative emotions are the result of his sentimentality, and in order to free him from his suffering, he must work with him, which Markov accepts. Alya distracts Nino with an excuse about a medical condition, prompting him to run off on his own so Alya can find a secluded place to transform. Along the way, Trixx taunts Alya for lying to her boyfriend within minutes of becoming a surrogate, to which Alya retorts about the ill effects of the territory. They think about her new alias for a while before she decides to transform. She comes up with more names while striking dynamic poses, though Trixx acts condescending, prompting Alya to hide in her yo-ya to draw suspicion of her true identity from Cat Noir.
