Miraculous Ladybug Season 2 Episode 2 Dispair Bear
Marinette's father, Tom Dupain, teaches the class how to bake macarons. Alya tells Marinette that she loves it when her father gives class. Marinette says her father does too. However, Chloé begins to complain about having to get dirty. To avoid being roasted, Chloé secretly calls the fire department. Tom asks Marinette to put the dish he was baking in the school fridge. As she leaves to do so, Tikki flies out and asks for a taste, but Marinette tells her not yet and gets over her sweet tooth. Suddenly, the fire alarm goes off and the whole class has to evacuate the school.
Soon after, Mr. Damocles becomes furious with his students because someone called the fire department for no apparent reason, wasting the department's precious time. He demands that the culprit apologize. Marinette is convinced it was Chloé because she saw her on the phone before the alarm went off, but Alya tells her that seeing Chloé on the phone isn't enough proof. Chloé tries to blame Marinette for the incident, but luckily Adrien and Alya defend her. Mr. Damocles states that since no one is willing to confess, the whole school will be punished. However, when Chloé threatens to call her father, Mr. Damocles agrees not to punish her.
The whole school is forced to mop the floors while Chloé sits on a bench and uses her phone. Adrien witnesses Chloé being rude to Rose and makes her cry. He angrily approaches her and asks if she was the one who called the fire department, which Chloé admits. He says that since everyone seems to enjoy dirty baking, it's no different than having to mop the floors. Adrien sighs and asks Chloé how long they've been friends. Chloé says because they were little ones. Adrien tells Chloé that if she doesn't start being nice to people, he won't be her friend anymore. Later, at the Le Grand Paris Hotel, Chloé is sitting sadly in her room when Butler Jean walks in and offers her chocolate, which she promptly eats. She then starts crying and tells Jean what Adrien said. To cheer her up, Jean gives Chloé her favorite teddy bear from when she was a child, Mr. Cuddly. Chloé grabs him and starts hugging him lovingly. Jean offers to help Chloé, and when asked why, she says it's because it means being nice. He also tells her that Mr. Cuddly the bear can help her be kind to others. Chloé agrees and is confident that she will win back Adrien's friendship.
At Marinette's house, Rose, Juleka, and Mylène try on hats designed by Marinette while Alya records them. Just then, Alya receives an invitation from Chloé to the party, as do Rose, Juleka, and Mylène. Rose calls Chloé nice for this, but Marinette finds it hard to believe that Chloé could ever be nice. Mylène suggests that maybe someone hacked her phone, but when Marinette says she didn't get an invite, Alya figures it must be Chloé. However, quickly after, Marinette receives an invitation, much to her disgust. At first she refuses to go, but after learning from Alya that Adrien will be there, she agrees to go with you.
Hawk Moth finds out about Chloe's party and is so sure that someone there will get negative emotions that he sends an akuma ahead of time. At the party, Chloé watches over the guests on the hotel steps. Jean suggests that she greet them with a hug and a kiss. Chloé is against having anyone touch her face, but Jean tells her that Mr. Cuddly would do that. When Chloé sees Adrien walk in with Marinette, Alya, and Nino, she runs downstairs and hugs and kisses him. Rose, Kim and Max do the same to Chloé. Chloé is reluctant to kiss Marinette on the cheeks, while Marinette is equally against it. But after catching a glimpse of Mr. Cuddly from afar, Chloé reluctantly retreats. At the same time, Marinette watches Adrien who looks happy, she also gives in. After kissing each other's cheeks, both girls immediately spat in front of the crowd in disgust. Alya laughs and states that she should have recorded them. Marinette tells her not to rub it.
Soon the party is in full swing, with Nino DJing and several kids playing in the ball pit or video games on the big screen. Jean suggests Chloé check that the guests are having a good time. Chloé questions why she should do that, and Jean tells her that Mr. Cuddley would do that when he was waving a bear in front of her. Embarrassed, Chloé pushes Jean's arms down and agrees. She walks up to Nathaniel and asks him with forced kindness if he's having fun. Mylène dances towards Chloé and asks for some ice in her drink. Chloé says she doesn't know where the ice cubes are and then starts insulting Mylène's sweater, much to Mylène's surprise. Hawk Moth is pleased with Chloé and prepares to infect Mylène with akuma, but before he does, Jean reminds Chloé of Mr. Cuddly. He quickly takes back his insult and offers to get Mylène ice cubes, making her negative emotions disappear, much to Hawk Moth's frustration. After giving Mylène some ice cubes and spilling them on the floor, to her surprise, Nino did a slow dance and the others started dancing. Kim asks Chloé to the dance. At first, he refuses, disappointing Kim, which almost akumatizes him, but Chloé is reminded of Mr. Cuddly again and therefore accepts his offer, further infuriating Hawk Moth.
While Kim and Chloé are dancing, Alya asks Marinette to dance with Adrien but she refuses, however Alya purposefully pushes Marinette forward into Adrien and Adrien asks Marinette to dance and he takes her hand without responding. As they move around the dance floor, Alya turns to them, realigns their hands so they are closer together, then turns away to dance with Nino. Marinette silently rejoices that her dream is slowly coming true and continues to dance with Adrien.
While dancing with Kim, Chloé is outraged to see Marinette and Adrien dancing. She starts to head towards her, only to find Jean and Mr. Cuddlely blocking her path. Kim asks Chloe if it's her bear and everyone laughs in amusement. Chloé loses her cool and drags Jean into the kitchen, where she angrily throws him out. As a result, he is akumatized into a Bear of Despair.
